Abortion: The Changing Debate

Pre-Conference Event | Friday, October 24

On the Friday evening before our Saturday conference, First OPC will co-host a pre-conference alongside Live Oak Academy. Last year, we tackled the important topic of human sexuality. This year, we will look at the ethical question of abortion, in a series of talks we’ve entitled Abortion: The Changing Debate.

Dr. Mark Jones will tackle this important and controversial topic from a Biblical and theological perspective, and we will also be joined by a special guest, Mark Bowlby, a teacher at Live Oak Academy in Santa Clara, CA.

All are welcome to join us for Friday and/or Saturday! Just use the registration link below to register for one, or both, of these events.

Live Oak Academy is a classical Christian educational service for home school families, providing students with excellent studies within a loving, nurturing environment. Our mission is to foster creativity, maturity, knowledge and wisdom in every area of learning. We emphasize the three stages of educational development that characterize classical education: first, the grammar stage, teaching solid factual foundations; second, the logic stage, focusing on sound reasoning and critical thinking skills; and third, the rhetoric stage, empowering students to express themselves with clarity and confidence.
